1. Brand Identity
FreshMeat4U is the go-to fresh meat delivery platform serving Vadodara, Gujarat. Our brand represents trust, freshness, speed, and the rich culinary culture of Gujarat. Every touchpoint — from our app and website to our packaging and social media — must reflect these core values consistently.
1.1 Brand Name
The official brand name is FreshMeat4U. It must always be written as a single word with camel case — no spaces, no hyphens, no all-caps (except in all-caps design contexts). The name may be abbreviated to FM4U only in informal internal communication. In all external communications, the full name must be used.
1.2 Tagline
Our official tagline is "Fresh Meat, Delivered Fast". The tagline must appear alongside the logo in all primary brand applications, including the website header, social media profiles, and printed marketing materials. The tagline must not be altered, translated, or shortened without written approval from the brand team.
1.3 Brand Values
- Freshness: Every product we deliver is farm-fresh and quality-checked.
- Trust: FSSAI-certified vendors, transparent sourcing, and honest pricing.
- Speed: Quick delivery within Vadodara so meals are never delayed.
- Local Pride: Rooted in Vadodara, serving the community we call home.
2. Logo Usage
The FreshMeat4U logo is the most recognizable element of our brand. Consistent and correct usage of the logo is essential to maintain a strong, unified brand identity across all channels and materials.
2.1 Clear Space
The logo must always have a minimum clear space around it equal to the height of the letter "F" in "FreshMeat4U." This exclusion zone must remain free of all text, graphics, borders, and other visual elements. Clear space ensures the logo remains prominent and uncluttered in any layout.
2.2 Minimum Size
The minimum acceptable width for the primary (horizontal) logo is 120 pixels for digital applications and 25 millimetres for print. For the icon-only (stacked) version, the minimum width is 40 pixels for digital and 10 millimetres for print. The logo must never be reproduced smaller than these minimums, as details become illegible.
2.3 Forbidden Uses
The following uses of the FreshMeat4U logo are strictly prohibited:
- Stretching, skewing, rotating (beyond ±5°), or distorting the logo in any way.
- Changing the logo colours to anything other than the approved brand colours.
- Placing the logo on busy backgrounds, patterns, or images where it loses legibility.
- Adding drop shadows, bevels, gradients, or any visual effects not part of the original design.
- Cropping, masking, or obscuring any part of the logo.
- Using the logo in a sentence or as part of body text — it must stand alone.
- Placing the logo inside or near competing brand elements without co-branding approval.
- Animating the logo beyond the approved entrance/exit transitions.
3. Color Palette
Our colour palette is designed to evoke freshness, appetite appeal, and trust. Colours must be used consistently across all brand materials. The primary palette is mandatory for all branded communications; the secondary palette supports and complements without overwhelming.
3.1 Primary Red / Maroon
Primary Brand Colour: #B91C1C
This deep, rich red-maruun is the heart of the FreshMeat4U brand. It represents the freshness and quality of meat, evokes appetite and warmth, and creates a strong visual anchor. This colour is used for the primary logo, primary buttons, headers, and key accent elements across all platforms. It must be the dominant brand colour in any layout.
3.2 Secondary Green
Green is used to signify freshness, quality assurance, and health. It should be applied to badges, "FSSAI Certified" labels, success states, freshness indicators, and as a supporting accent alongside the primary red. It is never used as the dominant colour — it always plays a secondary role.
3.3 Neutral Slate Grays
Slate grays form the backbone of our typography, backgrounds, borders, and supporting UI elements. They provide readability and a clean, modern feel that lets the primary red stand out. The slate palette ranges from very light gray (backgrounds) through medium gray (body text, borders) to near-black (headings, footer). All text must maintain sufficient contrast against its background for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
3.4 Colour Usage Rules
- Never use more than two accent colours from the secondary palette in a single design.
- The primary red (#B91C1C) must always be the most visually prominent colour in any branded material.
- Green and slate grays are supporting colours only — they must never overpower the primary red.
- Backgrounds should use light slate tones or white; dark backgrounds should only be used for the header and footer.
- Gradients, if used, should be subtle — only between shades of the primary red or between the primary red and a slightly lighter red tone.
4. Typography
Typography is a critical component of our brand identity. Clean, readable type ensures that our communications are accessible, professional, and easy to engage with. A consistent typographic hierarchy helps users navigate content effortlessly.
4.1 Headings
All headings must be set in bold weight with tight or normal letter-spacing. Headings use a modern sans-serif typeface and should be concise and descriptive. The heading hierarchy (H1 through H4) must be followed strictly — never skip levels. H1 headings are reserved for page titles only, and there should be exactly one H1 per page.
4.2 Body Text
Body text uses a clean sans-serif typeface at a regular or medium weight. Body copy should be set at a comfortable reading size with generous line height (at least 1.5× the font size) for optimal readability, especially on mobile devices. Body text colour is a medium slate gray to reduce eye strain while maintaining strong contrast against white or light backgrounds.
4.3 Type Scale
- H1 (Page Title): Bold, large — used once per page for the main title.
- H2 (Section Title): Bold, medium-large — used for major content sections.
- H3 (Subsection): Semibold, medium — used for sub-sections within H2 blocks.
- Body: Regular weight, small to medium — all paragraph text, descriptions, and lists.
- Caption / Label: Small, muted — used for timestamps, metadata, and minor labels.
4.4 Typography Rules
- Never use more than two typeface families in a single design — one for headings and one for body.
- Avoid all-caps for body text; use it sparingly for labels or micro-copy only.
- Line length for body text should not exceed 70–80 characters for optimal readability.
- All text must meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements against its background.
5. Tone of Voice
Our tone of voice is the personality of FreshMeat4U expressed through words. Every message we write — from app notifications to social media posts — should sound like a friendly, knowledgeable neighbour who happens to be a meat expert. We are warm and approachable, but never careless or unprofessional.
5.1 Friendly but Professional
We speak to our customers the way a trusted local butcher would: with genuine warmth, helpful knowledge, and respect. We use conversational language that is easy to understand, avoiding jargon and overly formal phrasing. At the same time, we maintain professionalism — our communication is always clear, accurate, and respectful. We never use slang, memes, or humour that could be misinterpreted in a food-safety context.
5.2 Local Vadodara Touch
Being proudly rooted in Vadodara, we embrace a subtle local flavour in our communication. This means referencing local food culture, festivals like Uttarayan and Navratri when relevant, and acknowledging the culinary traditions of Gujarat. We may use occasional Gujarati phrases or greetings (such as "Kem cho, Vadodara!") in social media and marketing campaigns, but our core platform content remains in English for broad accessibility. The local touch should feel natural and inclusive, never forced or exclusionary.
5.3 Voice Principles
- Clear and Direct: Say what you mean. Avoid vague language or unnecessary complexity.
- Helpful and Informative: Offer value in every message — tips, guidance, or useful information.
- Warm and Human: Write like you are speaking to a person, not a user segment.
- Confident but Humble: We are experts at what we do, but we never talk down to our customers.
- Food-Safe and Respectful: Never use language that could compromise food safety perception or offend cultural or dietary sensitivities.
6. Photography Style
Visual content is central to a food delivery platform. Our photography must make customers feel confident about the quality and freshness of our products while maintaining an appetising, professional appearance. Every image associated with FreshMeat4U must meet the following standards.
6.1 Well-Lit Meat Close-Ups
Primary product photography should feature well-lit, close-up shots that showcase the texture, colour, and quality of the meat. Use natural or warm-toned artificial lighting that enhances the natural reds of mutton, the pink of chicken, and the sheen of fresh seafood. Lighting should be soft and even — avoid harsh shadows, direct flash, or overly dramatic high-contrast looks.
6.2 Clean Backgrounds
Product images must be photographed against clean, neutral backgrounds — white, light gray, or a subtle wood texture. Backgrounds must not compete with the product for attention. For lifestyle or recipe imagery, backgrounds can include kitchen settings, cutting boards, or cooking scenes, but must always remain tidy and uncluttered.
6.3 No Raw Gore
This is a critical rule. While we sell fresh meat, our photography must never depict blood, bones in a graphic manner, entrails, or any imagery that could be perceived as gory, unsettling, or unappetising. Meat should look clean, well-trimmed, and ready to cook. If whole cuts or fish with bones are shown, they must be presented in a neat, appetising manner — the way a customer would see them at a high-quality butcher counter, never in a way that is visceral or off-putting.
6.4 Additional Photography Rules
- All images must be high-resolution (minimum 1000px on the longest side for web, 300 DPI for print).
- Do not use stock photos that do not accurately represent the products we sell.
- Include scale reference where helpful (e.g., a hand or common object) so customers understand portion sizes.
- Team and delivery photos should show genuine, friendly interactions — never staged or overly posed.
- All images used in marketing must be approved by the brand team before publication.
7. Social Media Guidelines
Social media is a key channel for building brand awareness and engaging with the Vadodara community. All social media content must align with our brand identity, tone of voice, and visual standards. These guidelines apply to all platforms where FreshMeat4U maintains an official presence, including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
7.1 Content Pillars
All social media content should fall under one or more of the following pillars:
- Product Showcase: High-quality photos and videos of available products, special cuts, and seasonal offerings.
- Freshness and Quality: Behind-the-scenes content showing FSSAI-certified shops, hygiene standards, and careful packaging.
- Community and Local Culture: Celebrating Vadodara, local food traditions, festivals, and customer stories.
- Recipes and Tips: Simple, relatable recipes using our products, cooking tips, and meal inspiration.
- Promotions and Offers: Announcements of discounts, new shop partnerships, and delivery updates.
7.2 Posting Standards
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule — aim for a minimum of 3–5 posts per week on Instagram and Facebook.
- Every post must include a relevant caption written in our approved tone of voice (friendly but professional, with a local Vadodara touch where appropriate).
- Use approved brand colours for all graphics, templates, and story highlights.
- Always include relevant hashtags — a mix of branded (#FreshMeat4U, #FM4U) and local/food hashtags (#VadodaraFood, #FreshMeatVadodara).
- Respond to comments and messages within 2 hours during business hours (8 AM – 10 PM IST).
- Never engage in negative, controversial, or political discussions on the brand account.
7.3 User-Generated Content
We encourage customers to share their FreshMeat4U experience. Before reposting or featuring user-generated content, we must obtain explicit permission from the original creator. Reposted content should be credited and must align with our brand values. Content that depicts unsafe food handling, unhygienic conditions, or any inappropriate material must never be shared or endorsed.
8. Do's and Don'ts
The following quick-reference list summarises the key rules for anyone creating content or materials for FreshMeat4U. When in doubt, consult the relevant section above or reach out to the brand team.
8.1 Do's

- Don't skip the brand approval process — unapproved materials must not be published.
9. Co-branding Rules
FreshMeat4U occasionally partners with other brands, vendors, or organisations for joint marketing campaigns, events, or special promotions. Co-branding must be handled carefully to protect the integrity of both brands. The following rules apply to all co-branding activities.
9.1 General Principles
- Both brands must be visually equal in prominence — neither brand should appear subordinate or secondary unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
- A clear visual separation (such as a divider line or spacing) must exist between the two brand identities.
- The co-branded material must not create confusion about which brand is responsible for the product, service, or content.
- All co-branding partnerships must be approved by the FreshMeat4U brand team before any creative work begins.
9.2 Logo Placement
When two logos appear together, the FreshMeat4U logo should be placed on the left side (for horizontal layouts) or the top position (for vertical layouts) by default. Both logos must maintain their respective clear spaces and minimum sizes. The logos must not overlap, touch, or be placed within each other's exclusion zones.
9.3 Colour Compatibility
In co-branded designs, the FreshMeat4U primary red (#B91C1C) and the partner brand's primary colour must coexist without clashing. If the partner brand's primary colour is too similar to our red, a neutral separator or background must be used to visually distinguish the two brands. The overall design should feel cohesive and harmonious.
9.4 Approval Process
All co-branded materials must be submitted to the FreshMeat4U brand team for review and approval at least 5 business days before the intended publication or event date. The brand team will review for logo usage, colour accuracy, tone consistency, and overall brand alignment. Unapproved co-branded materials must not be published, distributed, or displayed.
